After you apply
Here is exactly what to expect from the moment you submit your application through to your first routed offer.
Your invite email and text usually arrive right away. Use the link to set your password.
You can log in and finish documents, payment, and ZIPs while Zwivio reviews your application.
Routed offers start only after review, approval, and vetting are complete.
Step-by-step onboarding
From application to your first Zwivio offer
The Zwivio contractor onboarding flow is simple on purpose. No sales calls. No credit checks. Just a clear sequence: invite and portal access right after you apply, Zwivio review in parallel, then setup and your first routed offer after you are approved for routing.
Right after you apply
You receive an invite email and text
Zwivio sends an email with a link to set your portal password, usually right away after you apply. If you provided a mobile number with SMS consent, you may also get a text with the same link.
The link is unique to your account. Do not share it. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder or use the contact form at zwivio.com/contact.
What we check
We review your application
Zwivio reviews each application individually. We verify your Wisconsin contractor license and proof of insurance. That's it. No credit check, no interview, no sales call.
Timeline: 2–4 business days. Zwivio may email you if anything else is needed.
Not approved? Zwivio notifies you by email with the reason. Common reasons include an expired license or service area outside our current coverage. You're welcome to reapply when those are resolved.
In your contractor portal
Complete your account setup
Once you've set your password, log in to your contractor portal and complete these three things:
Upload your documentsYour license and certificate of insurance. You can upload them as soon as you have portal access; Zwivio reviews them as part of vetting. Routed work waits until review and approval are complete.
Add your payment methodA valid card on file is required before you can be dispatched to jobs. Your card is never charged for offers you don't win. Only on official assignment.
Set your service ZIPsThe ZIP codes where you want to receive jobs. Keep this accurate. Zwivio uses your service ZIPs for proximity matching.
In some cases, Zwivio may activate your account before your card is on file. For example, for a rescue job where manual override applies. This is rare and handled case-by-case.
You control your availability
Go On-Call when you’re ready
After your account is reviewed and approved for routing, and your setup is complete, you'll start receiving routed offers only when you turn On-Call on. You are never sent offers when On-Call is off.
Turn On-Call on when your team is genuinely open to new work, including later same-day availability, and make sure someone can respond. If it stays on when your team cannot realistically engage, missed or late responses can affect your Reliability Score.
You can also update your current location (ZIP or city) by SMS so Zwivio routes you work that's actually close.
SMS commands (quick reference)- Text OPEN to go On-Call.
- Text FULL to stop receiving offers immediately.
- Text HELP for a list of supported commands.

Know what to expect
Your first offer arrives
When a job in your area matches your availability and service ZIPs, you'll receive a routed offer by SMS. The text includes your job reference number and a link to view full job details.
For Emergency jobs, you may have as few as 3 minutes of priority access before outreach broadens to other contractors. Responding quickly, even to decline, is always the right move.
You are never charged for offers you don't win. Your card is only touched when a job is officially assigned to you.
Your track record is your ranking
Building your Reliability Score
Every offer you respond to and every job you complete without last-minute cancellations is recorded. This builds your Reliability Score. That is the metric Zwivio uses to determine how early you are considered for suitable work.
New contractors start at the Starter tier. Fast responses, accepted offers, completed jobs, and accurate On-Call behavior are the pattern Zwivio looks at when determining tier standing. Elite contractors are considered earlier for suitable routed work.
One missed offer or a late arrival does not drop your tier. The score reflects your pattern, not a single bad day.
