Jobs and technicians

A confirmed assignment becomes an active job. From there, your team manages field execution, technician assignment, updates, and completion through Field Console.

How jobs work

  • The Jobs page separates active jobs from completed jobs so owners and dispatchers can see current work and job history.
  • Owners and dispatchers can see jobs across the team. Technicians see the jobs assigned to them in My Work.
  • From a job, your team can update trip status, mark progress, share arrival or delay updates, and complete the job when the work is finished.
  • When location sharing is available and enabled, technician location updates may help keep the job status accurate.
  • Owners and dispatchers can reassign a job to a different technician when the handoff changes.
  • Some jobs may show additional follow-up actions, such as completion review or parts-related support, when those tools are available.

Technician view

Technicians use My Work as their default view. It is focused on assigned jobs, field updates, and completion steps instead of business settings, billing, or offer decisions.

Where to find it

In Field Console, owners and dispatchers open Jobs. Technicians land on My Work and see their assigned jobs.
